Recipe for outstanding coffee!

I use a 3:1 ratio of coffee to chicory. The blend results in an outstanding coffee beverage, especially using Guatemalan grown coffee.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tastes good, great service, just can't drink it. I was looking for a coffee substitute for this intense diet that I'm on. I was super glad to have found this supplier who could ship it out to me! I really like the taste. Unfortunately, both times that I brewed a pot, it gave me a really bad migraine. I don't know why it's doing that to me, I know it's not bad. I would totally drink more, too! It's just unfortunate. Nothing against the supplier, or the chicory root itself - great service, tastes great, I just can't drink it I guess :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i will be buying chicory again, over and over again. i have to drink decaf coffee . it tastes like dirty dishwater. using one scoop decaf and once scoop chicory makes a wonderful cup of coffee. improves the color, the smell, and gives it a depth of flavor not to be believed. makes coffee enjoyable again.

We are originally from the NOLA area and missed the chicory flavor. The quality and cost is excellent. We find the Dark Roast coffee to be very good.

I'm a great longtime fan of ground chicory, for the smoothness it gives coffee, for how it stretches coffee, and for the water soluble fiber inulin, a great prebiotic for your gut, that it contains. You used to be able to find it easily and inexpensively but not anymore. New Orleans Roast has the best price that I have been able to find in years. I bought enough to get the free shipping and will give packages of chicory as part of the food baskets I make for Christmas gifts.
